For Christmas this year, my parents bought me this beautiful Hummingbird Bakery cookbook. I have barely strayed from its pages this year when I want to bake something: peaches n' cream cupcakes for a chilly Saturday spent with M; chocolate hazelnut cupcakes for my sister's big birthday. I'm on a cupcake kick because they are so delicious and they are pretty easy.
I have been toying with the idea of a "food segment" slash "household segment" for some time. After all, graphic design doesn't end at the bottom of a page. There is deliberate design in every part of our lives... especially in cookbooks. This one is beautiful by the way. If you don't want to order online and can't find it in your local bookstore, check Anthropologie.
